If you are slow-playing aces OOP against 3 players, than folding them on that board when getting strong action is a good move. If anything, I probably would prefer to chec-folded or bet-fold on the flop bet given the texture and being stuck in the middle, with our call not closing the action. It was a classic win small/lose big situation. But peeling one off isn't terrible either, as long as we intend to fold to a check-raise by the BB.

I do have problem with the preflop play though. We really don't want to be OOP a multiway pot while allowing them to try and crack our aces on the cheap. Raise to charge them, hopefully, button might see us on a resteal, and repop us. But even if he doesn't, we can narrow his range a little by the 3-bet, and we'll mostly likely get a HU pot, where aces are harder to crack. |
